Registration Information

Welcome to E=MC³, Clarence-Rockland’s swim club for adult swimmers and athletes! Whether you’re a returning member or joining us for the first time, here’s what you need to know about registering with the club.

General Registration Information

We offer swim sessions in the fall, winter, spring, and summer, with registration opening in advance of each session. Below are the sessions offered:

  • Monday: TRAIN TO KEEP FIT
    Intermediate swimmers
Requirement: good basic technique of front crawl and general knowledge of back crawl.
Focus: becoming a better and stronger swimmer.
Expect to swim between 1500 and 2500m per practice.
You may also, in time, be introduced to other strokes for a variation.

  • Wednesday: TRAIN TO KEEP FIT (technical swim)

    Intermediate to advanced swimmers

Requirement: good basic technique of front crawl and general knowledge of back crawl.

Focus: technical work and stroke correction, some intensity.

  • Tuesday/Thursday: TRAIN TO PERFORM
    More advanced swimmers
Requirement: strong skills in front crawl, good knowledge of back crawl.
Focus: improving speed and endurance for personal or racing objectives.
Expect high-intensity training, between 2500 and 3000m per practice.
You may also be introduced to other strokes for variation; this is not a requirement.

Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of registration.

If you are new to E=MC³, a member of our coaching staff will contact you for a skills assessment before registration in order to ensure that you are registered in the correct group.

If you are a returning swimmer, please read the session descriptions carefully in order to register for the correct evenings.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued for missed practices.

To be eligible for a refund, members must notify the club before the quarter point of the session by sending an email to emc3club@gmail.com.

Refunds will only be issued if the vacated spot is filled by a new swimmer after written notice is received. If more than one member withdraws, refunds will be processed in the order the emails were received. If the spot is not filled, no refund will be issued.

YMCA Access

  • YMCA Members: No changes to your facility access—you may continue to use the YMCA as usual.

  • Non-YMCA Members: You will receive a special access card valid only during your scheduled swim times. Please note that additional fees apply if you wish to use the YMCA outside those times. Access to the facility beyond your scheduled session hours is not permitted.

We look forward to swimming with you!
